Around 18km from Opotiki Township, heading up the Waioeka Gorge. Large Picnic Area, and shelter on your right as you head up the Gorge.

Directions –

From the Carpark/picnic area, the track heads downhill, to the Tauranga Bridge, which crosses the Waioeka River.
As soon as you cross the river, you will see a track heading up the hill on your left, and another branching to the right, which crosses a tributary of the Waioeka.
Cross the river and follow the track for around 20 minutes.
You then come to a clearly signposted crossing, LINK track.
Cross the river, and follow the track, which takes you back on the opposite side of the river, back to the Bridge.
